image
You may be working it while you’re working out, but you should also manage to look fresh after the gym. Many women have trouble with getting their groove back after a sweaty session. Gym sessions are squeezed in between hectic schedules, giving very little room to freshen up aftersweating it out. Whether you’re pressed for time, or you have the luxury of a long hot bath after, there are several things you can do before and after gym to ensure that you look and feel fresh.
Pack It Right
Not only do you have to prepare your workout gear, you also need to pack a freshening up kit. It’s always best to try and take a shower after a heavy workout. Be sure that you have a bath towel ready with you. Your toiletries kit which should consist of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body spray. Don’t forget to pack your deodorant. This is crucial in smelling fresh after a gym session. You might also want to pack some makeup remover, and a makeup touch-up kit. If there’s room, bring your blow dryer and favorite hair product.
If you think you won’t have time to hit the shower, pack some moist towels or wet ones. There’s also a beauty product available that allows you to wipe down your hair if you have no time to wash it. Bring a hair tie just in case you don’t have time to fix your hair.
Before Hitting the Gym
There are things you have to prepare before you hit the gym to ensure that you stay fresh, even after your workout. It’s advisable to remove all makeup before you sweat it out. Otherwise, your pores will clog and your face will end up looking cake-y. If you prefer a bit of light makeup on, make sure that you use water-based makeup, and keep it light. If you have long hair, it’s best to tie it up in a bun. Not only will this keep you feeling fresh during your workout, but you might also be spared from having to thoroughly wash your hair.
Freshening Up after Workout
The best way to look fresh after gym is to take a long, leisurely shower. That’s not always possible, and sometimes you’ll have to take shortcuts. First thing you should do is get out of your drenched gym clothes. Staying in them as they dry will only aid in giving you an after-workout odor. Dry off your sweat with a towel, and rub down with a moist towel to remove the sticky feeling. If you can, use a hair wipe to remove sweat from your hair. Wash your face thoroughly, because this will also help you feel refreshed. Don’t forget to put on deodorant, and spritz on some body spray. Try to tame your hair with your favorite product. If that doesn’t work, then you might opt to keep your hair up in a ponytail. Sporting a stylish hat can also help conceal an unruly hairdo. Put on some light makeup, and you’re good to go. You’ll look and feel so freshthat no one will be able to tell that you spent the last hour sweating it out.
