Scientists have discovered that a plant which is not very well-known with really bizarre name is amazing “killer” of cancer. The plant was tested on mice that had cancer of the pancreas. In just 40 days there was no longer any trace of cancer in these animals.
According to the latest research from the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center, with the use of this plant, after 40 days the body does not show any signs of cancer – even when the therapy is discontinued. Researches for this miracle of grass, as we call it, are promoted in the journal Science Translational Medicine.
The scientists responsible for the experiment are now hoping to get money to conduct research on people.
The plant called “thunder god vine” or lei gong teng, is used long ago in Chinese medicine to treat many diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.

Scientists believe that this plant is so effective because it contains a large amount triptolide, which in previous studies was identified as an ingredient which is a great fighter against cancer.
Scientists say that the cure for cancer is in herbs which are known for years, but like ginger, this new discovery is free compared to expensive and dangerous drugs against cancer, and companies have no interest to invest in research.
But although this plant is really cheap, some scientists are already involved in research, trying to make drug from this plant, which would get approval from FDA, but the drug will be patented and sold for a large sum of money.
